Cilantro
Organic, Non-GMO
Description: Cilantro, also known as coriander leaves, is a vibrant, leafy herb with a distinctive, citrusy aroma and flavor, often described as a mix of lemony and slightly peppery notes: its delicate, fern-like leaves resemble flat-leaf parsley but with a more jagged edge, and is commonly used in cuisines worldwide as a fresh garnish or flavor enhancer, particularly in Mexican and Middle Eastern dishes; while beloved by many, some people perceive a soapy taste due to its unique chemical compounds. It grows to 24 inches tall and 18 inches wide. It has white to pink flowers that bloom in clusters.
Growing conditions: Cilantro thrives in cool weather, preferring full sun, well-drained soil with a slight acidic pH, and consistent moisture. It grows best in the spring and fall when temperatures are moderate, as hot weather can cause the plant to quickly bolt to seed. Consider providing afternoon shade in warmer climates, and mulch around the plants to maintain soil moisture and temperature regulation.
