Sprite Cherry Plum is an interspecific hybrid of Japanese plum and sweet cherry. Fruits are large for a cherry or small for a plum and the skin is a deep purplish-black with a sweet cherrylike amber flesh. They are a great choice for canning, cooking, or freezing. Pollinate with other Japanese Plums.  Blooms late March.  Bears fruit 2-3 years after planting.  Fruit ripens July-August.
